Funny you should mention Uber - the taxi drivers in Prague are livid at Uber operating there. Now in this case, I don’t have a lot of sympathy for Prague’s taxi drivers, as their well-deserved infamy for being rip-off artists of the highest order is European-wide.

If you’re ever in Prague, never take a taxi. They’ll rob you blind.

When we stayed in Prague two years ago, we booked an apartment from AirBnB and the landlady sent a car to pick us up at the airport and take us back to the airport because she didn’t want us to be ripped off taking a taxi anywhere.
