oh and don’t get me started on people who profess “It’s just common sense.” Really because I feeel common sense demands a progressive income tax structure, a government that invests in its people, and respects people for what they are and doesn’t feel the need to be a dick to people because of their identity if it differs from the norm whether that’s gender, racial, or national.

“Common Sense” is a phrase that generally means “I don’t have any evidence, but it feels like the right thing.” In some cases it’s correct, but in others, it’s just used to justify people’s bad choices.
