I’m puzzled over the Hated Jew thing. She’s not a Jew! Or is it that the “liberal media” will treat her as a hated Jew? What does that mean? The whole thing is Loooneey (say it like Joanne Worely).

I think it’s a way of

a. Reinforcing the belief now prevalent among wingnut Jews that the Democrats are anti-Semitic, and therefore, Republicans are symbolically Jewish. Since Republicans are symbolically Jewish, Democrats are even BIGGER anti-Semites for attacking them! See how this works?

b. Claiming these extremist nuts like Palin and Bachmann, thereby neutralizing and forgiving in advance anything dumb or insensitive they might say about Jews, and preventing oneself from being maybe hurt when they declare that this is a CHRISTIAN nation.

c. It’s a way of framing political hostility as an irrational bigotry. If you dislike Bachmann, it’s not for reasons any sane, conservative person could understand, it’s because you’re eaten up with hatred/anti-Semitism/bigotry.
