Whoever wins in 2020 may have a chance to appoint as many as 4 justices, especially if they win reelection in 2024. Breyer is 80, Ginsberg is 85, Thomas is 70, and Alito is 68. (And that doesn’t even factor in Roberts’ possible health issues.) The balance of the court can swing pretty quickly.

5. Impeaching Kavanaugh for perjury.
