Big difference between 2012 and today is that there really isn’t an ‘inevitable’ candidate, like Romney was. Oh, I know the GOP primary electorate toyed with the idea of a different crazy nutbag every month, and Newt Gingrich twice, Romney was always second. They’d keep coming back to him.
