Here in Ostrava, some developer a few years back got the insane notion in his head to be build a slightly smaller-scale of the Burj Khalifa. He even bought up the land to do it. Only problem? Yeah…..the land sits right on top of a tapped-out iron ore mine. The whole city is criss-crossed with these abandoned mine tunnels, particularly in the downtown core.
