Ah, youth. One of the younger (read: more sheltered and idealistic) Republicans in my office was saying she doesn’t believe in Medicare or Social Security because she plans on just saving up the money between now and when she retires and she’ll have enough to pay for whatever she needs. She’s 23.

I’d try to dissuade her from her opinion, but real life will take care of that for me over the next few decades.
