Rush Limbaugh: “Dark Knight Rises” villain Bane is a dig at Mitt Romney

“Do you think it is accidental that the name of the really vicious fire-breathing, four-eyed whatever-it-is villain in this movie is named Bane?” Limbaugh lamented on his syndicated radio show today.

Stuff like this makes my inner geek go nuts.

Amazingly, Rush is suggesting that the Batman writers who first created Bane in 1993 had such incredible foreknowledge that they did so on purpose just to stick one to Mitt Romney while he was running for President nearly 20 YEARS LATER.

I already knew Rush was an idiot, but this is undeniable proof.

The article notes Romney/Bane jokes have spread throughout the internet lately, I myself posted a side by side of them along with copy advertising a fake deathmatch. Someone else posted a link showing Romney’s face photoshopped into the Bane movie costume.

BUT, it’s just a matter of timing. The Romney/Bain stuff is current news and the Batman movie just so happens to open this weekend.

It is NOT, as Limbaugh so stupidly suggests, some crazy Liberal conspiracy to hurt Mitt Romney.

What is with some of these right wingers and seeing conspiracies everywhere?
