I think with China, people will eventually get hungry for Democracy. It will be interesting to see what would happen. Would we see new countries form like we did when the USSR collapsed? Read though that China was at 26% urban in 1990, it’s now 51% and expected to be 75% in 2040.

Few automobiles in China over so many decades may be a blessing of a sort —not nearly so much urban sprawl as in US and much of the rest of the world.
