It’s a pity that the rest of SPR was so annoyingly average. Still, for putting that sequence up there on the big screen, they earned the kudos that they get. It’s still not “real” in an exact sense but it’s as close as we’ve ever gotten with perhaps only one exception - the 1930 version of “All Quiet On The Western Front”. I do know one old man who after watching it said the only thing missing was the stink - of blood, shit, puke & fear.
