Somehow I don’t put as much blame on my wife for Obama’s election as you do. But in order to correct mistakes that were made as the party moves forward, it helps to hear what the other side was thinking. I never thought of LGF as simply an “Amen Corner,” even though I like the right of center sensibilities that are present in Lizard Nation.

Learning from mistakes is critical. In this case, the argument is “too squishy” vs “not squishy enough”. My POV is the choice of McCain was a sod toward the “be squishier” crowd… and it was a mistake. The base was fired up. It did get fired up, briefly, when Palin was announced (and McCain led in the poles for the one time in the fall), but they didn’t handle her well and let the MSM trash her. Those efforts continue.

As for your wife’s blame, it is no more or less than any of the other 66 million that put Barry in the White House to be the most powerful man in the world. The responsibility is shared.
