Yeah, neat movie. Kids today would smirk at it, given the special effects of the day, but the moral of the story was pretty clear.

Yet the monsters from the id idea works so well with the Godzilla movies. I’m of the school that those movies really are symbolic of the Japanese working out issues, post war, from the subconscious.

I tend to look on the Tea Partier wingnuts as likewise people who are lost in the modern world and are projecting their fear, big time.
