yes, but the platform will be held against you by the other party. If the Democrats are not excited about a $15 min wage they should leave it off the platform. Why have something that only serves as ammunition for your enemies?
But Democrats as a whole have been pushing for minimum wage increases. This was not something new with Sanders, nor unique to him. Same goes for making college more affordable.
I get the frustration with Bernie, believe me, but to pretend that Hillary winning was a clear-cut rejection of every ideal he espoused is equally stupid. I don’t think I’m the only Lizard who agreed with a lot of what he stood for but ultimately decided I liked Hillary better as a candidate, and I’m not horrified to find that my preferred candidate is able to listen and compromise when the ideals are ones that she can agree with. I think that’s actually a sign of maturity, something that I’ll agree Bernie has been lacking. (Along with some of his more fervent supporters but again, they aren’t the majority.)
