I’m more than willing to discuss it, you seem to suggest that I’m, somehow, supposed to make sure that administrators are doing to their jobs when sexual violence is reported to them. How, exactly, am I supposed to do that? The President of a public university in Virginia isn’t accountable to students in any meaningful way. The university isn’t allowed to release details in those cases due to FERPA.

(Part of the gap between our perspectives might be that I am a commuter student who lives a long ways from the campus of the university, so I don’t exactly have the attitude of someone who is deeply involved with the university.)

I guess all I’m doing is offering alternatives to whining about it, which doesn’t look good, which I think you know because your original post on the matter included, ‘At the risk of pissing someone off’.
