I find it funny when people who are fans of Obama find it surprising that someone might be self-serving.

Look, you’re a Beck fan and hate liberals, fair enough. But don’t act shocked when some of us think less of someone for accepting an award, or think the whole thing is a bit of a farce when he gives the award to his long time friend. Sure, recognize the guy for his great works, but don’t turn it into some sort of ‘award’. The whole thing just has delusions of grander to it.

I give my mom mother’s day presents. I don’t give her “The McSpiff best mother ever prize”.
