I know you can’t run a higher education facility on unicorn farts and fairy dust, but wouldn’t it be nice not to have to go into debt for decades in order to get ahead in life?

No kidding. At least all my loans are federal, though, so in the end I’ll only be giving the government even more of my money instead of having to deal with both them and the state. =P

My mother keeps harping on how inexpensive her undergrad was and she can’t believe how much it’s costing me to get this degree. I had to point out to her that she got her degree back in 1958, and her Master’s back in 1972. Things have changed quite a bit since then.
