I’m very far from an expert on Israel, Palestine or their internal politics and I’m more informed than Cain. Most casual observers are. That’s a serious problem.

And if he isn’t up to speed, then the people he’s surrounding himself with for foreign policy are just as clueless.

Right of return is a central tenet of Palestinian demands on Israel and it is a critical issue that needs to be addressed under whatever peace process takes shape.

Cain’s incomprehension about the subject shows him lacking on a basic issue of the Arab Israeli conflict.
