North Korea has some capacity to damage China, but not an overwhelming threat, is all I’m saying. Also, NoKo’s troops are mostly along their southern border pointing south. They are unlikely to hurt their one an only foreign supporter. The threat the Norks are telling their Chinese friends is “Help us out or we will attack South Korea”. This upsets China, because that would be bad for business.
