I dislike that the media and Hollywood has built up an idea of serial killers as being really brilliant and charismatic too.

They tend to be of average intelligence, be socially awkward. I don’t see in any point in romanticizing the twisted fuckers.

Though I do like Dexter, but that inverts the meme.

A cop friend of mine who’s on homicide says, in his opinion, there’s a lot more serial killers— it’s that they get caught on their first victim, because they’re dumbasses.
