I almost posted something about the mindless #CancelColbert outrage, but it’s just depressing to see so many humorless people itching to take offense at someone who’s ON THEIR FREAKING SIDE. Started writing it, but I realized there’s no way to get through.

You’re right that it wouldn’t do much good but I think encouraging people to give a “get out of outrage free pass” to their side is a mistake. It does nothing to increase the quality of discourse or the free exchange of ideas.
I’m not a Bill Maher fan but I did greatly enjoy the awkard silence from the audience and panel on this one
