I mentioned this earlier, but I can see China and South Korea cooperating to turn North Korea into a source of cheap manufacturing labor for the world market. People there would live moderately better from it but not really see the benefits of their labor.

This is the thought I keep coming up with. LOTS of very cheap labor and no restrictions on how much like a slave you can treat them. An industrialists paradise (to borrow a word from Sean for NK).
