In my youth when I was on active duty in the south, I attended a conservative evangelical church for nearly 2 years. The first time I ever heard of Rush was when the older church ladies were attempting to rationalize listening to Rush by claiming he’s a “Christian” (just not their type of Christian), was fighting the good fight, and was standing up for Christian American values. Fast forward 28+ years and the same sort of people were making the same argument for Dear Leader.
