I remember when the John Birch Soviet, er, Society plastered the country with “Impeach Earl Warren!” billboards. I saw a lot of them in California and Texas so there must have been thousands around the country. Warren was Chief Justice at the time and was blamed by the right for a variety of unbearable atrocities, like the abolition of forced prayer, the legalization of interracial marriage, school integration, Miranda warnings, etc.
