I watched some of the senate debate on this earlier. This whole thing is just insanely stupid. They’ve convinced their base that default is the way to go but they can’t do it without crashing the economy. All they’re going to accomplish is convincing their base that they should do something that they can’t and won’t do. The base is just going to be pissed when the republicans comprimise. It’s just politically stupid.
