Kind of sad that this is just further evidence of a vast audience of people out there who do not mind being lied to as a matter of routine.

Maybe they even enjoy it?

Hard not to become a cynic over this.

Because modern journalism is no longer about presenting facts and allowing viewers/readers/listeners to come to their own conclusions, it is about confirming and reaffirming their preconceived notions about the world.
