Since it’s an open thread, a brief job search update — I had an interview with a bank the other day for a financial advisor role, but I’m not confident with it. If I don’t get that one, I won’t shed any tears. I had filled the application out months ago and had forgotten all about it, so the fact that I’ve made it this far with them is an accomplishment all by itself.

The software translation company I really want to work for got back in touch today. The hiring manager will be in Austin on the 27th and we’re going to meet face to face. I’m excited! I hope it goes well.

Applications are still going out regardless. Until I’ve got something nailed down and set in stone, I’m going to keep looking at what’s out there.

You may think that having ANY job is better than being unemployed, but if you take a job that you don’t feel comfortable with, that you really don’t want, YOU WILL HATE IT.
