So today is my 52nd birthday. Worked last night and work tonight so nothing terribly exciting :D One beer after work then off to bed I went.

After I got up this afternoon, I did make it out to the range and got a bit of WWII action going - M1 carbine and my 1911A1. I got the carbine not too long ago for about half the going rate for shooter grade ones. And it is a lot of fun. Still there’s a local gun show coming up 3 weekends from now and I’m tempted to see if I can get that going rate. With careful ammo choice and shot placement it’s acceptable for deer hunting (about the same as a 357 magnum) so it has practical use but the budget is always tight and $800+ would be a big help.

The quality time by myself hunting the wily paper-plate today didn’t help matters though, LOL.
