People seem to think subtle strategies will take Trump down, like encouraging his “health care for everybody” statements to provoke a war with the GOP establishment.

It DOES NOT work like this, and I don’t know how many times this lesson needs to be learned. The way to deal with Trump is to confront, embarrass, mock, humiliate him at every opportunity. When he’s humiliated and exposed as a fraud he loses it, because egomania is the central fact of his being. We need to push him in that direction. If you pretend to take him seriously you’re doing exactly what he wants, and you’ll never beat him this way.
