I will shake my head if Mexico, backed by the EU and other countries, is the first to openly declare war against the United States. Thus setting up the domino effect as other countries declare war against either Russia or the United States.

With the way nationalist alliances were set up in the early 1910s, it allowed a regional war declared after Archduke Ferdinand’s assassination to immediately cascade into World War I.

With two nuclear “superpowers”? I don’t see that happening unless we really are looking at global annihilation.
