How do you get rid of a problem? Do you get rid of them or help them change? If one simply gets rid of them yet avoids the issue that doesn’t really address the example of sexism. You’re basically settling with “out of sight and out of mind.”

Not at all. No one’s trying to sweep anything under the rug. It’s like dealing with racists; you can try to talk to people, but more often than not, you’re fighting an uphill battle.
