True. There needs to be a carrot and stick approach to D voter activism —- they need to show up in the primaries to keep the elected officials honest (i.e., the stick) and they also need to show up in all general elections to oppose the Republicans (i.e., the carrot).

However, the chances of that happening seem very low. I think the oligarchy’s strategy of boiling the frog very slowly will work, unfortunately.

The problem is that Dems won’t stand up for anything for fear of being taunted by the RWNJs. Dems have to start getting feisty and angry and get just as mean and ornery about what the plutocrats are doing to our country as the RWNJs are about what they think liberals might do.
