Came 12 inches from killing Bambi this afternoon. I wouldn’t have braked so hard if my deductible wasn’t $500, but I figured it wasn’t worth $500 worth of meat for $500 worth of repairs to the truck.

I ran over Bambi a few years ago while driving a 2001 Kia Sportage. I thumped up and over her, sat in the vehicle for a few minutes, grabbed a box cutter in case I had to perform a mercy kill and then when out to see how bad she was hurt. The ungrateful animal had taken off into the bush while I was working up my courage.
