I really do think tr*mpism is a religious cult. tr*mp is an Asshole, and that is exactly what tr*mp’s followers like the most about tr*mp.

When tr*mp spews his bullshit and lies, his followers are incapable of seeing the lies and bullshit for what they are. Instead they see their ideal of a rich and powerful man ‘get away’ with saying whatever he wants and being an Asshole. To be such an Asshole is exactly what every wingnut wants most in the depths of his or her rotten soul. The god that wingnuts really worship is exactly this kind of Asshole, formed by projection of wingnut hate and resentment. No wonder wingnuts worship tr*mp. He’s as close as anyone has ever come to being the perfect Asshole.
