OK, IANAEngineer, but donāt ādrainage tunnelsā need someplace to drain TO? The Houston area is uniformly described as ālow-lyingā - Wikipedia gives its āaltitudeā as ā80 feetā - not a lot of elevation, and in what was, primevally, a flattish wetland - how are these tunnels supposed to serious help with volumes of water measured in cubic fucking miles dropped in a couple of days.
I like and admire Elon Musk, but I donāt think heās a civil engineer, either: I think he hit the āsendā button a little too quickly this time.
