In many parts of Columbus where the streets are wide enough, there are actual bike only lanes. They are about three feet wide or so and in some instances are to the left of a turn lane and still to the right of the forward traffic lanes.

Added to our awesome Metro Parks system, Columbus really has a lot of low cost opportunities for nice family entertainment.

The political thing for the cyclists I agree with is to avoid being required to ride only in those lanes, and losing the right to ride on any road.
