No, AP, he did not. Just like he didn’t “endorse” atheists a few years ago which all y’all also breathlessly reported on.

The specific claim from Pope Francis in his interview with the Italian newspaper which I’ll bet none of you actually read was along the lines of many “secular” states recognise same-sex marriage for the purposes of healthcare or other reasons, and on an individual basis the Church needs to look into that and see if it should support the laws (not the people involved).

In the very first question in that Italian interview he stated marriage is between one man and one woman (completely counterfactual to what the Bible says).
