Actually, I have issues with defining entirely non-violent activities as ‘terrorism’, if there is no actual link of the non-violent activities to violent terrorist activity.

If you define terrorism as the act of using terror to force change, then terrorism can be non-violent as well as violent. If all you do is threaten violence, without engaging in it, are you not inspiring terror to get somebody to do what you want them to do?
