That’s a modern abuse of conservatism. Maybe not just modern, some have always been extreme. Nobody wants to acknowledge the kind that is fine with unions as an option for employees and collective bargaining but would oppose foolish terms in pensions and obligatory membership. The kind willing to uphold regulatory power over banks, utilities and essential providers.

Of course the details of how all that might happen matter a very great deal. Voluminous is an inadequate term. But the Dems don’t want to see that as it’s an electoral challenger stronger than the current GOP.

Dark, The current GOP wants nothing to do with that kind of rino approach. Circumstances are the best kind of conservatism is the most unwelcome right this minute. The kind of confident happy straight conservative with family values in their behavior, LGBT friends or associates, a gun for the range, and a union to work with at the office.
