If they refuse to release any sort of report, the DOJ is going to get hit with an avalanche of FOIA requests for whatever Mueller gave Rosenstein or whomever has that post by the time this is all over.

Also, given the news of the day, I wouldn’t be surprised if Trump makes a move to fire Mueller either directly or indirectly via Saturday Night Massacre II: The Stupidening

Which is a major reason taking control of the House is critical: so that an independent investigation can be conducted which Trump can’t block.
