The consumption habits of information, or “journalism”, has changed somewhat during my lifetime. I’m afraid that the internet’s effects on what we think of as “news” continues and I see no reason why that will stop.

I suspect that most of us, most of the time, are really looking to be entertained more than to be informed.

Escapism is at the heart of “entertainment” - we watch/listen to entertainment to escape the pains of the real world.
