I live in a small town. We have a Thai and Salvadoran restaurant in town. Not to mention Italian, Chinese. Me thinks Brooks is too smug.

Hell, I can remember Portland, OR having an Ethiopian restaurant back in the 1980s. Good place; it’s long gone now but other Ethiopian restaurants have taken its place.

Also, a Chinese restaurant with a name that always elicited a snicker - Hung Far Low. That was a great place and was in business from 1928 until 2015, when they went under. The original Hung Far Low sign is still there, which is cool.

My fave place in Portland? The House of Louie.
