The intellectual right is a lost cause, the GOP has gone anti-intellectual, anti education and anti-science. All she needs to do is to stand by her stances, no matter how far removed from fact, as long as they are ideologically pure, and she will guarantee herself a rock-solid constituency, and at worst, the VP nod.

I think it’s always a terrible mistake to underestimate your opponents here. While I agree that the GOP voters who matter are all of the above, the GOP donor network isn’t. There are plenty of pro-intellectual, pro-education and even pro-science fund raisers within the GOP. These poeple matter. Look at what happened in New York. Coumo got the top GOP fundraisers to back gay marriage, and it shifted enough politicians to get it done.

Bachman is going to have a real hard time raising money in those circles. And her candacy will suffery for it.
