Ah, the meat and substance of today’s posting - Bobby Fischer, anti Semitism, and the chess match of the century.

Yeah, no one talked about the match of the century after Fischer began destroying Spassky. That’s right, we don’t know what happened; we didn’t get updates; and we didn’t learn the outcome. Funny, but Google shows something quite different (and the Paper of Record - NYT, has its own archives).

Yeah, it was because Fischer was Jewish (but not the right sort of Jew according to Paul) that the news coverage ceased.

Never mind the long obituaries detailing Fischer’s storied chess career and troubled personal life. Never mind that everyone still considers the Spassky match the match of the century, or that Fischer was one of the greatest chess masters in history.

Paul fails on history (again). Go figure.
