A poster on another site I frequent came up with the perfect defense, one that would have won Christie the 2016 Pres nomination.

“Can you believe that in a country where we have a failure in the White House, massive cronyism in Washington, Obamacare, and Benghazi, that the liberal mainstream media is spending so much of it’s time and energy on a local New Jersey issue? They’re the ones that should be ashamed. This press conference is over.”

I think he also needs to claim that the woman who died was a liberal to get the entire GOP on board.
