To paraphrase Walter, the Walmart greeter, my peak shopping experience is to “get my shit and get out”. Why would I take work from some kid who’s trying to feed her family?

I understand that last bit (even though I’d like to point out that it’s not entirely different from the buggy whip industry etc) but you seemed to say the self checkout was unpleasant in it’s own right. That always sounds a bit strange to me, that’s all.
