I guess “honor” is in the eye of the beholder. I cannot think of any circumstance where it would be “honorable” to kill my own wife or daughter. Especially if they had been raped or attacked. Calling the cold blooded murder of your own child a protection of your honor tells me this person does not know what honor is. I “reject” your rejection. Cultural differences? Please.

An honor killing is a mideast phenomenom wherein a male member of a family feels that preserve the family honor, he has to kill a female member of a family. The honor involved is not what we in the west considered honor.

Domestic Violence occurs everywhere, but at least out here we don’t try to justify it. It’s just crappy.
