The big difference (well, other than Bill Clinton being a (D)) was that Bill made his perjured statement in front of a Federal Grand Jury - in the context of an formal investigation* into various accusations - and no matter what the context (“context” is a meaningless term to Congressional GOPers - (D) and (R) are the only concepts worth considering) - that’s what eventually did him in.
Unless/until somebody gets The Yam up in front of some similar body to have his responses** on the (formal, legal) records over any of these corruption allegations, and have ANYTHING he may deign to answer contradicted by facts: no case.
Yet.

Uh, I thought Clinton made his false statement in a deposition in the Paula Jones lawsuit?
