I felt the same way about the Angels winning in 2002. But at least that year they beat the Giants, so I could take some solace in that.

And you had 1988 and 1981 to look back on. I’ve never seen a pennant winner. Is the intercity rivalry that big between the two or is it more like Lakers-Clippers have been?
