We’re planning an end-of-summer pot-luck feast. I’ll provide the steaks and roasted chickens and things from my garden while others will bring stuff and dishes made of things from their gardens. The tables should groan under the weight of the food.

Oh, that sounds delish. I spent last weekend back in fish country with my parents. One of the Indiana delicacies that I miss up here is the breaded pork tenderloin, which nobody makes quite like they do back home. I was able to indulge myself in one while I was there, and was it ever good.
