At 37 weeks, or anywhere near that, I believe what happens is an actual birth not an abortion. Especially when the mother’s health is in jeopardy, the protocol is birth the baby (usually via C-section) ASAP so the medical team can focus on the mom ASAP.

But that would just be getting logic in the way of a wingnut meme…

Pre-eclampsia and Eclampsia are life-threatening conditions that can occur during late pregnancy. The pregnancy has to be terminated immediately, by delivery.
